What are my rights if I am a victim of a crime in Mexico? Victim is that natural person who has suffered damage or impairment that can be economic, physical, mental, emotional, or in general, any endangerment or injury to their legal assets or rights, as a result of the commission of a crime or a violation of their human rights recognized in the Constitution and in the international treaties to which Mexico is a party. 3. 4. From the moment a crime is committed against you, you have the right to receive any type of care that is necessary, be it medical, psychological or legal. The Public Ministry must provide you with the guidance you require.
5. You must be informed of everything related to the crime of which you were a victim, this includes: the person or persons who participated in it, or any information that serves to clarify the facts.
6. That your identity and other personal data are protected. If as a victim of the crime you are a minor, or a victim of the crimes of rape, human trafficking, kidnapping, organized crime, during the investigation and the process of the trial your identity must be protected, this as a measure to protect yourself. 7.
